Cups of tea are on the up, it’s soup at lunch time, and everyone’s started wearing an extra pair of socks. It gets really darn cold in a florist shop and unfortunately, winter is definitely coming. But before we have to start walking around like the Michelin Man (I’m not joking), that beautiful time of year is upon us with crisp crunchy leaves under foot and deliciously clean, clear morning air. In all honesty, I think autumn beats summer hands down.
When it comes to thinking about the perfect month to get married in, October seems to fall unfairly short, and I’m not really sure why.
Einna Harrison-Mellon got married on Saturday 9th August this year at the fabulous Rockliffe Hall Hotel. Her theme was glamourous, with a very neutral but very effective colour scheme. It was one of our favourites for this very reason, allowing us to have a play with the textures and shapes of flowers used within the ivory and green spectrum.
For her bouquet, Einna chose a selection of exuberant, exotic blooms mixed together with country-garden style flowers and a variety of greenery – Dendrobium Orchids and Lily of the Valley (our guilty pleasure!), with ivory Spray Roses, Vendella Roses, Gypsophilia and Astrantia. The greens we chose were silver Eucalyptus, variegated Pittosporum, and wild, trailing Asparagus Fern. This gave her all the glamour in a beautiful, relaxed form. Einna’s choice of bridesmaid’s dress was a gorgeous, muted celadon. The Bridesmaid’s bouquets were similar to the Bride’s, and went perfectly with their dresses.
