Paul and Hannah got married at the beautiful setting of The Yorkshire Wedding Barn at Gilling West, on a crisp winter’s day at the beginning of December last year. The couple are good friends of ours – it’s always a pleasure to do a friend’s wedding! Hannah wanted a rustic feel to fit in with the barn setting, and flowers that would tie in with her champagne, glitzy bridesmaid’s dresses, and the very pale blush shimmery pink of the guys ties.
Ellingham Hall is one of the most beautiful places we’ve had the pleasure of dressing for a wedding. The 19th Century hall is stunning and you get exclusive use of the whole place for your special day. Located in the gateway to the Scottish Borders, Ellingham Hall is the perfect place to give your wedding a feeling of secluded tranquility.
This month we return to Charlie and Sam’s wedding, a gorgeous couple who chose equally gorgeous flowers!
For Sir John Hall’s 60th Wedding Anniversary we created spectacular table arrangements for a party that was taking place in the Grand Marquee at Wynyard Hall Hotel. We used tall cylinder vases and filled them with gel beads and placed a light box underneath them so that the vases lit up.
Lisa and David got married on a gorgeous spring day in May this year at the beautiful Middleton Lodge. Lisa wanted a really natural feel to her flowers, and had the most beautiful colour palette of muted peaches, ivories, vintage blush pinks and a mix of silvery greens. We used a combination of vendela roses, quicksand roses, blush peonies, ivory astillbe, white nigella, ivory astrantia, green thlaspi and silvery eucalyptus.
On the 24th July last year, Natalie and Graham’s wedding took place on a beautifully sunny day at Wynyard Hall Hotel. Here’s to hoping we get some of that weather again soon. This gorgeous wedding is featured in this months Wedding Ideas Magazine!
Lindsey and Andrew’s wedding was a classically vintage do, with a colour palette of muted and blush pinks and ivory. Lindsey went for all flowers and no greenery in her bouquets resulting in neat, round handtieds that emulated vintage! Looking at the pictures by John from Grange Photography, the bouquets went perfectly with the lacy a-line style of the bridesmaid’s dresses.
Peter Barron lives just down the road from Flowers by Nattrass HQ here in Hurworth, and a couple of days ago he rang with quite an unusual request. He asked me (Katie), to create a hanging basket out of bras, or a ‘Brasket’ to use their proper name.
Amber and Richard got married on a beautifully sunny day in September last year. Their ceremony was held at St Cuthberts Church in Darlington, while their wedding breakfast was at Blackwell Grange Hotel. Amber’s colour scheme was duck egg blue, with sweet pastel tones bought in with her choice of flowers.
