Christmas Wreath Workshop 2017

2017-12-09 20.01.35

Our Christmas wreath workshop at Walworth Castle was a huge success on Saturday. Thanks to all 27 budding flower-enthusiasts who came, the festive wreaths you created were spectacular!

The day started at 11am, with mulled wine, mince-pies, tea and coffee served throughout. Sally demonstrated a Christmas Wreath and then a table centre-piece, and everyone chose which they wanted to create.

Every single wreath and table-centre was beautiful, everyone did a fantastic job. Take a look below to see the day in pictures:

Paul and Hannah, 3.12.16

Paul and Hannah got married at the beautiful setting of The Yorkshire Wedding Barn at Gilling West, on a crisp winter’s day at the beginning of December last year. The couple are good friends of ours – it’s always a pleasure to do a friend’s wedding! Hannah wanted a rustic feel to fit in with the barn setting, and flowers that would tie in with her champagne, glitzy bridesmaid’s dresses, and the very pale blush shimmery pink of the guys ties.

Lisa and David – 4th May 2016

Middleton-Lodge-Wedding-by-Stan-Seaton

Lisa and David got married on a gorgeous spring day in May this year at the beautiful Middleton Lodge. Lisa wanted a really natural feel to her flowers, and had the most beautiful colour palette of muted peaches, ivories, vintage blush pinks and a mix of silvery greens. We used a combination of vendela roses, quicksand roses, blush peonies, ivory astillbe, white nigella, ivory astrantia, green thlaspi and silvery eucalyptus.

Lindsey and Andrew, 29th August 2015

Grange_Photography_Lindsey_015

Lindsey and Andrew’s wedding was a classically vintage do, with a colour palette of muted and blush pinks and ivory. Lindsey went for all flowers and no greenery in her bouquets resulting in neat, round handtieds that emulated vintage! Looking at the pictures by John from Grange Photography, the bouquets went perfectly with the lacy a-line style of the bridesmaid’s dresses.

Wild about Flowers

Hayley & Paul Leech - By GASP Photography-295

Hayley and Paul Leech got married on Saturday 10th May last year at the gorgeous Hall Garth Hall Hotel. She wanted a summery mix of flowers in pastel shades in a style that would match with natural materials such as hessian and rope. We went through various different blooms together, finally settling on Sweet Avalanche roses, Memory Lane roses, ivory spray roses, Million Stars gypsophilia, lilac freesia, dusty pink lisianthus, waxflowers, thlaspi and eucalyptus. This mix of flowers was used throughout Hayley’s wedding, filling little vintage jars for the table-centerpieces. I’m going to let Hayley and the pictures do the rest of the talking – all photography by GASP.
