Paul and Hannah got married at the beautiful setting of The Yorkshire Wedding Barn at Gilling West, on a crisp winter’s day at the beginning of December last year. The couple are good friends of ours – it’s always a pleasure to do a friend’s wedding! Hannah wanted a rustic feel to fit in with the barn setting, and flowers that would tie in with her champagne, glitzy bridesmaid’s dresses, and the very pale blush shimmery pink of the guys ties.
Together we chose a palette of gold, champagne, blush pink, deep plum and a mix of vintage greens, using natural hessian to bind the stems. The flowers we used were Sweet Avalanche roses, plum astrantia, plum ranunculus, raspberry scabious, viper carnations, Vendella roses, gold skimmia, classic green asparagus fern and minty eucalyptus. The arrangements all had a natural, flowing feel to them, while the gold skimmia added a touch of festive sparkle.
The ceremony took place at St Agatha’s Church, just down the road. It was then back to the barn for canapes and cocktails to start the party! Take a look at the pictures below by Jemima Stubbs Photography – I think you’ll agree Hannah and Paul look fabulous!
