Baron Philippe de Rothschild Sauvignon Blanc
Tasting Notes:
Great value Sauvignon Blanc from Mouton Rothschild which they have been making since 1995, sourced from the Languedoc then matured in their Saint-Laurent-Medoc winery. Fresh and peachy, with vibrant fruit flavours and acrisp, refreshing acidity.
Pale yellow with a golden tint. The highly expressive nose opens on intense pink grapefruit notes mingled with the delicate, box-like floral aromas typical of a Pays D`Oc Sauvignon. The attack is supple and powerful. The fruit driven mid-palate strikes a fine balance between citrus freshness and the softness of white peach, building to an attractively long and flavoursome finish.
Food Pairing:
Gorgeous with goats cheese and red pepper crostini as an aperitif.
